Karpenko Gymnastics Academy (KGA) is Singapore’s first elite rhythmic gymnastics academy dedicated to the development and training of girls from the age of 4 and up. KGA caters to the needs of Singapore’s budding stars through a fun filled, challenging and structured course with serious competition focused classes for those keen to compete. The highest standards of professional training are employed in an encouraging training environment that develops confidence and self-esteem in every child. KGA believes in each child’s high potential and respects their unique individual abilities.

Our programs also cater to dancers, ballerinas, artistic gymnasts, synchronized swimmers, competitive cheerleaders, divers and other athletes of all ages that need to develop greater flexibility, a stronger core, stamina, balance and coordination.

We believe in each child’s high potential while respecting their unique individual abilities. We employ the highest professional coaching standards in an encouraging training environment that develops confidence and self-esteem in every child.

We work to create both a nurturing, family environment with the discipline of a professional gym administering organized, structured classes. KGA beieves this approach supports healthy emotional, mental and physical growth by promoting confidence, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.

In other disciplines, our programs are also great for dancers, ballerinas, artistic gymnast, synchronized swimmers, competitive cheerleaders, divers and other athletes that need to develop greater flexibility, a stronger core, stamina, balance and coordination.

Who is Victoria Karpenko?

Victoria Karpenko is founder and head coach of Karpenko Gymnastics Academy. Beginning gymnastics at the age of four in Kruliya Sovetov, Moscow (leading Russian rhythmic gymnastics school). Victoria began her competitive career at the age of seven and quickly established herself as one of Russia’s leading rhythmic gymnasts.

At the age of eleven, Victoria became part of the Russian national team before becoming champion of Russia at the age of thirteen. During the following years she also began competing and winning international competitions around the world.

Victoria again won the Russian national championship at age sixteen before being awarded “Master of Sport International Class” (the highest sporting accolade given to Russian gymnasts). At the age of seventeen, Victoria graduated to the coaching staff of Kruliya Sovetov where she began her coaching career to Russia’s elite gymnast’s who became national, European and Youth Olympic champions and World Cup finalists.

In 2010, Victoria began her international coaching career in the Maryland, USA where she worked with national and international level. Victoria coached one student, Julie Zetlin, to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic games (only second ever USA qualifier).

In 2013, Victoria coached members of the Spanish national team to compete in national, European and World Cup competitions and began preparation for the Brazil Olympics in 2016. In 2014, Victoria joined the Singaporean junior national team where she coached competitively until recently. In April, 2015 Victoria opened KGA – her gymnastics academy in Singapore.

Victoria Karpenko – Head Coach

Anton Tsypushtanov – Ballet Coach

Please meet Anton Tsypushtanov. Having danced all his life, Anton became a Ballet Master upon completing his studies at the Academy of Highest Culture (Belarus). Anton then danced professionally with various touring productions for 13 years and was honoured with the title “Honoured Artiste of China” for his services to dance over the previous years.

In the following years Anton joined the national teams of Belarus and Thailand as choreographer before joining the Singapore high-performance team for rhythmic gymnastics. Anton’s ballet and choreography expertise coaching elite athletes further evidence KGA’s commitment to remaining South East Asia’s top rhythmic gymnastics academy.
